FAQ
How do I calculate the cost of a recipe?
For each ingredient divide the pack price by the pack size and multiply by the amount used (in the same unit). Add them up, then add labor, packaging and overhead, and divide by the number of servings.
What markup should a home baker use?
Many home bakers add 30–100% markup on top of full cost (including their wage). Labor-heavy custom items justify the higher end.
Does the calculator convert units?
Yes — grams, kilograms, ounces and pounds convert between each other, as do ml, litres, teaspoons, tablespoons, cups and fluid ounces. Weight and volume cannot be mixed without a density; use our conversion chart to convert cups to grams first.
Is my data saved?
